Downtown is where most of San Diego's big-room work happens. The Convention Center sits on the bay, the Gaslamp's hotels and rooftops are a few blocks inland, and Petco Park and the Rady Shell are within walking distance of both.
That density shapes the job. Parking a truck downtown takes planning, so we confirm a dock time at the Convention Center or a service entrance and elevator at a Gaslamp hotel before the day. Hotel ballrooms tend to have tight load-in windows around other events on the same floor.
What we set up downtown
- Live DTF for sponsor lounges and hotel events where every guest wants a name or a full-color design.
- Live screen printing for a Convention Center booth pushing one design at volume.
- Live hat bar for rooftop parties and nightlife venues with little floor to spare.
- Promo & hard goods for printed totes that attendees carry across the show floor.
Recent work downtown
On May 13 a four-person crew set up heat presses inside the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego for a conference activation and printed 10×12" DTF transfers onto 320 white midweight ringspun tees on site. Read the case study.
At the Convention Center, each station's 10×10 ft and two dedicated 120V/20A circuits go on the venue's electrical order. In a Gaslamp hotel, confirm the circuit isn't shared with catering.
Also planning outside downtown? We cover La Jolla & UTC, Mission Valley, North Park, Carlsbad & North County, Coronado & Del Mar. Send the venue, date and headcount for an itemized quote within 24 hours.
